Government Spokesperson: Win-win Policy Leading Cambodia to Prosperity

PHNOM PENH: Government spokesperson Pen Bona said that Cambodia entered a new historical era on December 29, 1998. He said that former Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Win-Win Policy, celebrated on this day, brought a rare and valuable peace to the country without a single drop of blood.

"Win-win politics has three key elements at the heart of the solution: guaranteeing life and body, guaranteeing career and occupation, and guaranteeing the ownership of both movable and immovable property," he said. This sanctity was decreed by the work of former PM Hun Sen.

He stressed that peace has turned battlefields into markets and areas of development, turned minefields into plantations and transformed the nation into a single Khmer unit under the motto “Nation, Religion, King.”

He stressed that peace has become the driving force behind the fast pace of development. He said that all the achievements that appear before us are the fruits of peace, which is the masterpiece of Samdech Hun Sen.

Pen Bona said that the Royal Government continues to ensure the protection of all achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet. He said the new administration aims to be sustainable and continue to develop the country on a solid foundation toward its goal of becoming a high-income country by 2050.

"The historical achievements of Samdech Hun Sen and the clear vision of Prime Minister Hun Manet are two pillars that lead Cambodia and the Cambodian people to prosperity, prestige and national pride," he said.
